Are You Ready to Share the Love?
We have arrived at Valentine’s Day weekend! Raise your hand if you could use a day of love. Lots of hands are up.
The good news is that it’s no longer seen as an exclusive day of love for people who are in romantic relationships. In fact, we can make it a celebration of being in partnership with others in all different capacities. We can celebrate our friendships, our beloved pets, or use the day as an expression of gratitude toward our mail person, our Amazon delivery person, teachers, (which may mean sending a Valentine to yourself) and anyone else who makes your life or the life of those you love, a little easier.
A couple of family members were under the weather for our annual Valentine’s Day card making party so we did a partial in-person and masked/FaceTime party. A tote bag of cards, markers, stickers, scissors, glue and themed papers completed the kit.
We even show love to Mother Earth by recycling magazine and Valentine’s Day junk mail or advertisements! We cut out images and glue them on blank cards or use stickers on them and BAM! original, one-of-a-kind cards are created. (see accompanying photo)
Maybe make three extra cards and give one to someone who could use some sweetness. Think, a bagger at the grocery store, your local police or fire station, or a bunch of the school-type ones loved up with encouraging words and dropped off at a Children’s Hospital. (Call first since COVID rules are different everywhere.) Get creative.
Whatever you do, love your Divine Source, love yourself, love others, and love Mother Earth and always, stay enchanted!
