Soothe Your Frazzled Nerves with Golden Slumber Nut Milk
Dear Enchanted One,
These are stressful times, but we can move through them. You might need to take a break from watching TV "news," as we are impacted by the way events are portrayed and stations vie for our loyalty. From the affect of the commentator to the background scenery or music, we are affected. Stay informed but manage how much you are ingesting.
Use the 10 Keys to Nourish your body, mind, and soul. (Refer to my website for a refresher: drterrysegal.com. I'm also now posting these newsletters to my Blog at that site, after you've received them first! in case you'd like to revisit any of them.)
Nourish yourself with my recipe for Golden Slumber Nut Milk. It can provide a warm and soothing hug to your insides.
Enjoy!
Golden Slumber Nut Milk
Ingredients:
-2 cups almond, coconut, or cashew milk (dairy increases inflammation in the body so nut milks are preferred here)
-1 teaspoon turmeric powder (It's a powerful anti-inflammatory but be careful not to get it on clothes as it stains!)
-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
-4 drops of liquid Stevia (or Chocolate liquid Stevia)
-OR Honey OR Maple Syrup to sweeten it
(Our daughter gifted us with a delicious product called Tur Latte, which is a Golden Milk infusion of organic turmeric, Ceylon cinnamon and other natural herbs and spices. It's non-GMO, Caffeine-free, Gluten-free and Vegan. I'm not an affiliate of the company but I should be!) It's delicious and the small scoop of it can also be used in a protein shake.
How to:
Gently heat the nut milk, stir in the remaining ingredients, and pour into a mug.
Take a warm shower to relax your muscles and nerves, then make your soothing nut milk and cozy in to sip it while you unwind before bed.
Be calm. Stay enchanted!
